Résumé
David Rycroft is an English painter living in France. Educated in art
and art history at Eton College and Edinburgh University, he received
his first national art award aged 19. He taught art in London for ten
years and now makes a living as a painter.
Since 1994 David has been developing an innovative technique that brings
together some key artistic principles—purity, naturalness, vibrancy,
spontaneity, chance and precision.
Since 2009 David started introducing traditional elements of painting
- calligraphic brushmarks representing flowers - into his ‘unpainted
paintings’. This combination results in vivid compositions of arresting
beauty.
